FAQ
Need a hand?
Common questions about registration, the shoot, delivery, and health precautions — all in one place.
-
How do I choose a date and time?
Select in order: ceremony type (Zhuazhou / Coming-of-age), store, style, year, and month. You will then see the dates and time slots that still have availability.
-
What does "Fully booked" mean?
There are no other time slots available that day. Please pick a date that still has open availability.
-
How and how much is the deposit?
Have a credit card or VISA debit card ready. After submitting the registration form, you must pay the NT$900 deposit online within 10 minutes to secure your booking. To pay by bank transfer instead, please contact our online support.
-
What do I do after paying the deposit?
You will be taken to the next page to fill in basic info (baby’s name, birthday, etc.). Submitting completes your booking.
-
Can the registrant and cardholder be different people?
Yes. For example, mom can register under her name and dad or another family member can pay with their card.
-
When do I pay the balance?
The balance and any extras (additional family members, retouching, photo albums) are paid in person on the day of the shoot.
-
Can I reschedule after booking?
Yes — call the store at least 14 days before the shoot. The new date must fall within 120 days of the original date and can only be changed once. Exceptions apply for unavoidable events such as official typhoon-day closures.
-
What if registration fails or I run into trouble?
Contact our online support and send a screenshot of the registration screen — that helps us resolve it quickly.
-
Where do I register and check my booking?
Registration: http://www.1year.com.tw/ · Booking lookup: http://www.1year.com.tw/que
-
How should I prepare my child for the shoot?
Make sure they are well-fed and well-rested for the best mood and energy. Shy children can bring a favorite toy. If they are unwell, call the store to reschedule.
-
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 20 minutes early so your child has time to settle in and relax for the shoot.
-
Can we attend if someone has a cold or contagious illness?
No. If anyone has cold symptoms or a contagious illness (e.g. enterovirus, chickenpox, flu), they cannot enter the store. Please let us know in advance so we can reschedule.
-
Any clothing tips for outfit changes?
For anyone changing into themed outfits, wear a low-neckline top underneath so it does not show through the costume.
-
How many people can be in the studio?
To keep shoot quality high, attendance is limited to 7–8 people total, including the main subject and parents (3 of them).
-
Any grooming tips for adults appearing in photos?
Women: light makeup and lipstick photograph best; tie long hair neatly. Men: a clean shave is recommended. If you need glasses on camera, please wear contacts or frames without lenses to avoid glare.
-
Any advice for driving to the store?
Leave early. We recommend dropping mom and the child off at the entrance first, then dad goes to park.
-
What if we are running late, need to cancel, or reschedule?
To respect other families's time, late arrivals may be pushed back. For cancellations, reschedules, or any same-day issues, please call the store directly.
-
Can I bring my pet?
For hygiene reasons, pets are not allowed inside. Guide dogs are welcome, but please contact the store in advance.
-
When is the best time to schedule a Zhuazhou shoot?
Before your baby's vaccinations, or at least two weeks after, when their mood and condition will be at their best.
-
How long does the Zhuazhou ceremony and shoot take?
Babies have limited stamina and focus. To capture their golden window, we aim to finish the ceremony and shoot within about 30 minutes for the best results.
-
How do we review photos and albums?
The store reviews photos and album content with you over LINE. Please do not block us after adding — files cannot be sent if you do.
-
How long do LINE replies take?
When staff are busy or on regular closing days, replies may take 1-2 days. For urgent matters, call the store during business hours.
-
How long does production take? What file formats do I get?
Final delivery takes 35 working days (excluding holidays). Photos are JPG only — no RAW files and no unedited video footage.
-
How long do I have to flag issues with the photos or video?
Once files are sent over LINE, you have 7 days to flag any issues. After that, the post-production process moves forward automatically.
-
Can the video or album be customized?
Layouts, music, color palettes, image sizes, and caption text are fixed and cannot be customized. We cannot accept files edited with phone retouching apps either.
-
How long are the cloud files available?
Files are delivered via a cloud link. Please open the link and download within 30 days; after that they are deleted and we cannot keep backups. Check the files immediately on receipt and back them up in multiple places.
-
How many rounds of retouching are included?
Two rounds are free after files are finalized. From the third round, a NT$100 fee per image applies. Please discuss your retouching needs with on-site staff in detail beforehand.
-
Does the retouching add-on include the original files?
No — the add-on delivers only the finished retouched images. Pre-retouch originals are not provided.
-
Is there a length limit for the baby message?
Yes, by album size: up to 30 Chinese characters for a small album, or up to 200 for a large album (punctuation not counted). Please avoid special symbols.
-
When is the baby message due?
Send the text in plain text via LINE within 3 days of the shoot — photos or screenshots will be rejected. If it does not arrive in time, the default template is used (deadline shifts one day if it falls on a Tuesday closure).
-
What does the album printing workflow look like?
Receive digital layout on LINE → proof and review → reply "OK to print" on LINE → sent to printer → 35 working days production → LINE notice before shipping → registered mail → delivery.
-
What should I check during proofing?
Carefully verify names, birthdates, text, and image content. The vendor only checks that text matches what you provided — they do not correct typos. Changes after the digital layout is finalized cost NT$200 per item; changes after printing count as a new album and require full payment.
-
How is the album shipped? What if I miss the delivery?
Albums ship via registered mail. If you miss the delivery, pick it up at the post office yourself (bring the pickup slip, ID, and seal). If it is returned for non-collection, you cover the cost of the second shipment.
-
Why do I need to share health information in advance?
So every child can enjoy the shoot in a safe, comfortable environment. If your baby or anyone accompanying them is suspected of or diagnosed with a contagious illness, please tell us proactively and work with us to reschedule or adjust who attends.
-
Who does this apply to?
Not just your baby — it includes accompanying adults, family observing the ceremony, and anyone appearing in the photos (adults and children). Everyone shares the same indoor space, so one person’s condition can affect other children and families.
-
When should I proactively tell you or consider rescheduling?
1) Diagnosed or suspected contagious illness (enterovirus, hand-foot-and-mouth, flu, etc.). 2) Symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, severe cough, visible rash, or sore throat. 3) Anyone in your household has been diagnosed with or strongly suspected of a contagious illness. 4) A statutory infectious disease per Taiwan CDC, or any situation where authorities recommend staying home and avoiding gatherings.
-
What if my baby is the one who is unwell?
We recommend rescheduling so your baby can attend in their best condition — the photos will turn out better, too.
-
What if a family member or companion is unwell?
Another healthy family member can take their place, or the store can help you reschedule.
-
What happens if signs of illness or contagion show up on the day?
To protect other families, we may suggest rescheduling or adjusting the number of attendees, and we will help arrange a new time quickly. Please reach out via LINE or phone before your appointment so we can find a suitable arrangement.
